Marian Angelidou is working at “Hope for Children” CRC Policy Center as the Coordinator of Psychology Department. Previously, she held the position of the School Psychologist at HFC, providing support and guidance to the unaccompanied children, also providing psychological support to other children in need referred to the Organization. Additionally Marian is delivering workshops to children at schools and lectures to teachers and parents.
She graduated from the University of Nicosia as a Psychologist and then received her MSc in School Psychology. During her practicum she has worked in various fields, such as private schools, municipalities of Nicosia and Strovolos, kindergartens and she volunteered for the Youth Guidance Mentor Programme as a mentor and later as a coordinator. Her practicum included psychological assessment to children and adolescents, counselling to parents and teachers, individual psychotherapy, workshops and psychoeducational programs for children, adolescents, parents and teachers. She is a licensed School Psychologist in Cyprus.
She participated to the research study «A mentoring program for supporting vulnerable children: exploration of the gains for mentors» that was presented at the 39th Annual Conference of the International School Psychology Association in Manchester, 2017.
