Counsellor
Andreas Damianou is a member of he Psychology Department and works as a Counselor at “Hope For Children” CRC Policy Center. Andreas has earned his Psychology degree at Bristol UWE and his Counselling Psychology MSc at Keele University following an Integrative-Humanisitc appoach. He completed his practice hours at North Staffs Mind, a counselling centre in Stoke-On-Trent providing psychological support to adults and young people, and at Place2Be, a British based mental health charity, providing therapy sessions to children in a primary School in Manchester.
Andreas has travelled extensively and has worked as paid staff and as a volunteer in many different countries (including UK, Mexico and Guatemala). His work experience is varied and some of the posts he has held are Special Education Support Worker in a children's special needs community in New Zealand, Residential Yoga Teacher in Thailand and Nepal and Youth Worker in Spain. In Cyprus he collaborated with Nicosia Municipality Counselling Centre for 18 months where he offered counselling to adults and with Kykkos Monastery Counselling Centre where he offered psychoeducational workshops
