"Building Connections: A Humanness Toolkit for Youth Engagement - Navigating Relationships, Promising Experiences, and Challenges"

[Nicosia, Cyprus] – Hope For Children CRC Policy Center, in collaboration with its consortium partners Libera (Italy), Between (Portugal), OBESSU (Belgium), and the Intercultural Development Agency (Uganda), is proud to announce the launch of the HUMANNESS toolkit "Building Connections: A Humanness Toolkit for Youth Engagement - Navigating Relationships, Promising Experiences, and Challenges", a comprehensive resource designed to support youth workers and practitioners in empowering young people to bring meaningful change within their communities.

The toolkit aims to provide essential knowledge, tools, and strategies to enhance day-to-day youth work practices and make a lasting impact in the lives of the youth.

The Toolkit is the culmination of over a year of research, developed in consultation with more than 100 youth workers from Europe and beyond. The toolkit addresses the challenges faced by youth workers when engaging various marginalized youth groups, providing practical guidance, innovative approaches, and adaptable tools suitable for practitioners of all experience levels.

The toolkit specifically tackles three main challenges identified through our research:

  1. Building and Establishing Trust: Strategies for creating strong, trusting relationships with young people.
  2. Managing Solidarity Project Requirements: Insights on the development and implementation of solidarity projects.
  3. Sustainability in Youth Work: Approaches for making youth work more sustainable and impactful.

Whether you’re seeking inspiration for a new program, looking to enhance existing practices, or need guidance on specific issues, the Humanness toolkit is your go-to resource. Practitioners are encouraged to explore the contents at their own pace, adapt the materials to their needs, and share insights and experiences with fellow youth workers.

The toolkit is available in the following languages: English, Greek, French, Italian, Portuguese and Swahili.
