Counselling Psychologist
Maria Iacovou work at "Hope for Children" CRC Policy Center as a Counselling Psychologist at the Foster Care Department, in Nicosia. Maria offers psychological support to foster families and children. She also offers counselling services to parents and children through the counselling services that is offered by "Hope for Children" CRC Policy Center.
Maria Iacovou is a BSc Psychology graduate from Coventry’s University. She continued her studies at the University of Edinburgh where she obtained her MSc in Counselling Studies. She completed her studies at European University where she obtained her MSc as a Counselling Psychologist. She has also completed a four year program for Systemic Psychotherapy.
Maria has completed a series of workshops at schools on subjects such as racism, social skills and bullying. She has organized workshops for adults about stress management. She had the opportunity to work at different domains through her practicum, such as at a drug addiction center, in schools, and she has also participated in workshops for parents and children.
