
Project Scope
Voices for respect, celebrating difference, and tackling hate (YCreate) is a Strategic Partnership between the United Kingdom, Netherlands, Italy, Greece, and Cyprus for Creativity in the Field of Youthin response to the COVID-19 situation.
The focus of this project is on equipping young people to counteract hate speech and violent behaviour, disinformation, and misinformation (offline and online) targeted at minorities and vulnerable communities through creative, arts-based, participatory, and digital activities that foster active citizenship and socially responsible actions.
General Objective
Through this project, the partner countries will promote, connect and empower young people for civic and social participation at the local level, to engage them in active citizenship and solidarity among young people, and strengthen young people's sense of initiative in the social field and support their communities, while providing skills development through creativity and arts.
Specific Objectives
youth leaders and peer mentors. It will enable them to be innovators in cultural and artistic community interventions with children, pupils and youth, counteracting hate speech, behaviour and misinformation towards minorities and vulnerable groups
YCreate Crisis Communication Online Human Library - this output has at its core the human library concept bringing it to the digital environment by creating an OER platform for knowledge exchange and good practices in contexts of crisis
