Project Scope
B-Frame: Barnahus-FRAME - Fostering Resilient and Multidisciplinary Environments
The B-FRAME project aims to strengthen Romania’s response to violence against children by expanding and institutionalizing the Barnahus model at national level. Building on the experience of Romania’s first Barnahus pilot in Bucharest, the project will support the preparation and opening of Barnahus centres in at least nine Romanian counties, creating the foundation for a sustainable national network of child-friendly, multidisciplinary services.
Barnahus, meaning “Children’s House”, brings child protection services, law enforcement, prosecutors, medical professionals and psychologists together under one roof. This integrated and trauma-informed approach allows children affected by abuse to access forensic interviewing, medical examination, psychological support and legal assistance in a safe environment, reducing the risk of re-traumatisation and improving access to justice.
