SAFE IN TOWN Learning Platform: Building Safer Communities for Every Child

The SAFE IN TOWN Learning Platform is now available, offering a free online training programme to strengthen child safeguarding knowledge and practice among professionals, public officials, volunteers and organisations working with children.

SAFE IN TOWN is a European project co-funded by the EU's CERV-2024-DAPHNE programme of the European Commission. The project supports municipalities in developing and implementing City Child Safeguarding Policies (CCSPs), helping to create safer, child-friendly communities through coordinated action across local services.

The project is coordinated by Defence for Children International (DCI) Italy and implemented in partnership with Defence for Children International (DCI) Greece, CESIS – Centro de Estudos para a Intervenção Social (Portugal), Hope For Children CRC Policy Center (Cyprus) and Keeping Children Safe (KCS). The project is being implemented in close collaboration with the Municipality of Genoa (Italy), the Municipality of Chania (Greece), the Municipality of Matosinhos (Portugal) and the Municipality of Strovolos (Cyprus)

The platform offers a 12-hour self-paced online training course, available in English, Greek (Cyprus), Italian and Portuguese, for professionals working directly or indirectly with children.

Upon successful completion of the training, participants receive a certificate of completion.
